Updates & Channels
Rabbitty updates itself. No need to re-download or re-brew by hand.
How it works
On launch (and from Rabbitty ▸ Check for Updates…), Rabbitty checks its release channel for a newer version. If there is one, an Update button appears in the top-right of the window. Click it and Rabbitty downloads the new version, verifies it's properly signed and notarized by Apple, replaces itself, and relaunches.
Because updates are verified against Apple's Gatekeeper, Rabbitty will only ever install a build Apple has notarized. A tampered download is rejected.
Channels
| Channel | Who it's for | Install |
|---|---|---|
| Beta | Testers, current public builds | brew install --cask rabbitty-beta |
| Stable | Everyone (coming soon) | brew install --cask rabbitty |
Each channel updates independently along its own track.
Homebrew
If you installed via Homebrew, self-updates and brew coexist. The cask is
marked auto_updates, so Homebrew won't fight the in-app updater. You can still
run brew upgrade rabbitty-beta any time.
Checking your version
Rabbitty ▸ About Rabbitty Beta shows the exact version and channel you're on.
